Job Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all branch operations, ensuring sales growth, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies. The role requires strong leadership, financial management, and strategic planning skills to achieve branch targets and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1.   Operations Management

a.        Manage day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

b.       Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

c.        Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and product availability.

d.       Oversee cash handling, banking, and branch financial controls.

2.  Sales & Business Development

a.        Develop and implement branch sales plans to achieve monthly and annual targets.

b.       Identify new business opportunities and expand the branch customer base.

c.        Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs.

d.       Ensure high-quality customer service and relationship management

3.  Financial Management

a.        Prepare and manage the branch budget and control operating costs.

b.       Monitor branch profitability, expenses, and revenue performance.

c.        Ensure timely collection of receivables and proper debt management.

d.       Review and analyze financial and performance reports.

4.  Team Leadership & HR Management

a.        Lead, supervise, and motivate branch staff to achieve high performance.

b.       Plan staff schedules, assign duties, and monitor productivity.

c.        Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

d.       Ensure discipline, compliance, and a positive working environment.

5.  Reporting & Coordination

a.        Prepare and submit regular operational and sales reports to management.

b.       Coordinate with head office departments (finance, HR, logistics, sales).

c.        Implement management directives and company strategies at branch level.

6.  Risk & Compliance

a.        Identify operational and financial risks and implement mitigation measures.

b.       Ensure branch security, asset protection, and loss prevention.

  

Skills and qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

a.        Bachelor’s degree in business administration only

b.       Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

c.        Strong leadership and people management skills.

d.       Good knowledge of sales, operations, and financial management.

e.        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

f.         Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.

g.        Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
