1. Background
Daldhis-Power-Solutions, a Member of Daldhis Group of companies, is seeking a
qualified and experienced Electric Technician to support its operations in the installation,
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generator systems. The ideal candidate
must have strong expertise in handling major diesel generator brands and advanced
knowledge in various types of control systems and electronic engine modules (ECM).
➢ Position: Electric Technician – Diesel Generators
➢ Number of Positions: One
➢ Report to: Technical Manager / Operations Manager
➢ Duty Station: Mogadishu- with regions travel regularly.
➢ Salary: as per Company salary Policy plus packages refer section 5 below
➢ Starting date: ASAP
➢ Probation period: 3-6 Months
2. Scope of Work
The Electric Technician will be responsible for:
1. Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in diesel generator systems.
2. Installing, configuring, and maintaining generator control panels such
a. Power Command controllers (In power, Insite)
b. DSE (Deep Sea Electronics) controllers
c. ComAp controllers
d. DIEF controllers
e. Other industry-standard control systems.
3. Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance for generators from leading
brands including:
a. Perkins
b. Cummins
c. Caterpillar (CAT)
d. Other similar OEMs
4. Diagnosing and repairing issues related to Electronic Control Modules (ECMs)
for electronically controlled engines.
5. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
7. Electrical wiring, fault finding, and generators synchronization systems.
Skills and qualifications
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
✓ Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
✓ Minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience with diesel generator electrical
systems.
✓ Proven experience working with the specified controller types (DSE, ComAp,
Power Command, Dief and etc.).
✓ Certified and experienced for operating Inpower Software to configure and
diagnose CPG products
✓ Knowledge of ECM diagnostics and troubleshooting tools (e.g., InSite, CAT ET,
Perkins EST).
✓ Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, fault finding, and generator
synchronization systems.
✓ Ability to work under pressure and in diverse site environments.
✓ Excellent problem-solving skills and technical documentation ability.
✓ Excellent in English Languages or Somali
✓ Highly Innovative and Creative character
